I am fascinated with the beauty of all living things, especially as they lose their plumpness and vividness, but at the same time maintain their essence and energy, adding their experiences and knowledge, changing and evolving into something new and old at the same time.

 

Using the technique of collage I emphasize similarities, study differences, layering where I have questions, simplifying for clarity. My work is as much about the presence and occupation of space as of the absence, the void and the vulnerability. 

 

What inspires me is the vibration of my subject. It is that particular energy which I try to convey, keeping it as I had felt it, transforming the viewer to a bright, optimistic place in their heart and mind.

 

When I paint, I feel a vibration, which is defined by the light and air surrounding it.
It is represented by my subject, and it occurs at a transient moment.
It is what fascinates me most - capturing that moment.
My wish when I paint is to convey that precise vibration to my viewer.
